My name is Ahmed Sulliman and I am looking for a Maths position ( Grades7 - 12). I will be available January 2015. I taught in London, Kuwait, Oman and South Africa. I am 60 and does my age count against me getting employed?
Hi Ahmed, unfortunately due to visa requirements, your age might be a factor. Some countries will not issue visas to those aged either 60 or 65+, depending on the country. Where are you looking to teach? We recommend that you check with your local embassy to see if they will issue a work visa and go from there.
Hi Dana! I'm from New Jersey and I'm also hoping to secure a position in Dubai or Abu Dhabi at a private school during the 2016-2017 school year.
Hi Jennifer,
I wish you well in your venture. So far the 3 jobs I have applied for have not gone any further. Im still hopeful though therefore I will keep applying. How is your search going?
My recruiter sent me an email about two weeks ago, letting me know that they're are close to selecting the dates for the in-person interviews. The interviews will take place late January in NYC or Chicago. I'm hoping and praying that I will be selected for the interview.

Firstly, hi everyone! I'm just finishing a CTESL course at Carleton in Ottawa (Canada) and am looking into ESL opportunities. I have Ontario teaching certification and will be applying for my TESL certificate when I graduate in about February. I have a good many questions about my prospects but I think I'll start by asking about timeframe; if I begin an application now, approximately how long do you think it will take for me to get a position?
Hi Nigel, if you have a teaching license from Ontario, you should be good to apply! We're currently recruiting for positions from now all the way until Sep 2016, so if you're looking to teach abroad some time between now and Sep 2016, you can start applying. You can find the start date on the right side of the job posts.
