A question on the REFERENCES

Hi all!   


I've just started applying to jobs last night.  Should I list my references now, or wait until I get a response from a recruiter?

I understand that once I list the references, they will be emailed a request by TeachAway.  Will they simply be asked for their contact info, or will they be asked for Recommendation Letters?

    Hey Myra!
    From what I have read, you can upload your references at any time during the process. I dont believe that Teachaway will contact your references until later in the process and I have read that they will let you know when they are contacting them!

    Hi Ashleigh,

    My contacts were emailed by TeachAway right after I listed them as references. One of them doesn't have a Recommendation Letter ready, and is wondering if they will be asked for one.

    Hello all;

    Welcome to the forum! Yes, once your references are added to your profile, they will be sent a form from Teach Away to complete. All references must be completed by your referee through the form that is sent to them.

    What is included in the reference request?

    I would like to let my referees know whether they will need to write a letter of recommendation or just answer some questions on a form.

    Hi Rachel,

    Great question.

    The form your referees will be asked to complete varies depending on who the potential employer is (I know this isn't a clear cut answer). Typically, it will be a fairly straightforward set of questions, but on some rare occasions for certain partners of ours, there may be a letter of recommendation required.

    Which job would this be for in your case? Perhaps I could provide some more info.
