Interview Process& Visa&many other ?'s from Michigan, U.S.A.

I was wondering about the process.  I have read about the lengthiness in blogs and exactly how does it work?  It goes under review and then what?  They close it or they call and set up phone interviews and then what and how long between each usually? 

I have gotten an email from a Direct School to send in some other papers to them and I did.  When it is a Direct School, does teacheraway assist in anything?

I am lost. 
I have heard of everyone getting interviewed on  Skype.  I have never used Skype before because we have had face time on the Apple phones for many years.  I do have a Skype but never used it.  I would use it on my phone if I had to.  Would that be a problem?

Also, our passports are in progress but what about a working Visa or a Visa for my child to go to school over seas.  Do we wait to find out if we are going to another country and do we get the Visa's there?

All I know is I am ready to be in another country by August teaching there.  I hope I get a job in the right spot where My family and I would love during the contract time. 

How do I find out how the monthly salaries come to me and how much and if I pay taxes and do I do taxes in other countries and in the U.S.?  I still have to do the U.S.A. taxes here but how does that work if I am not working in Dubai?

Is there A recruiter that I can just talk to or do I not have one until I am being recruited?

    Welcome to the forum! Applications for ‘Direct to School’ jobs are sent directly to the school that posted the vacancy. These applications are not reviewed by Teach Away's Placement Coordinators. Any communication regarding these positions takes place directly between applicants and the hiring institution. However, you will still be able to track your application status in your Teach Away Dashboard

    I would recommend you to communicate with the school that you are unable to use Skype and if they are available to conduct the interview in any other form

    In most cases, you will be given enough time to arrange for visas and other arrangements before the start date.

    Each country has very specific laws governing how foreign workers are taxed. In most countries, local taxes will be deducted from your paycheck and then at the conclusion of your employment, a percentage of your taxes will be refunded to you. The percentage of taxes returned varies widely depending on the country where you are working. I would recommend you to do your own independent research on taxes based on the position/country you are applying to.

    You will be contacted by a placement coordinator once your application is considered for a pre-screening interview. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we only contact the candidate then.

    Thank you so much.
    I have communications with two of the direct schools from me applying here. Will you be informed that my application is in review with them or if they hire me or close my application with them because they are still on my active list as of now? I am trying to figure out if the teachaway coordinators are in the mix at all ever when I am dealing with Direct Schools?
