Hi,

I applied for this position (https://www.teachaway.com/teaching-jobs-abroad/summer-school-teacher-horizon-japan-international-school-sendai-japan) and I was wondering if it is still open. The start date is in July, and I would love to be considered as I can stay the entire duration of the program.

    Hi Sophia,

    This is a Direct to School job, which means the school itself is handling the applications and candidates who have applied for the role, so I unfortunately do not have any extra insight on the role aside from what you can see on the posting itself.

    The position is still open. The school is still accepting applications. I just cannot tell you if this is because they've failed to take their posting down or because they still need to fill their three openings.

    It looks like the start date for the position is the 23rd of July, which leaves a very small window of time.

    My suggestion for you would be to keep your application open for this role in the event the school is moving forward with their hiring in the next few days. I would also suggest checking out the ESL job board to see if there are any other opportunities you qualify for: https://www.teachaway.com/esl-jobs.
