Can I apply for teaching jobs prior to obtaining my license?

I am applying to teach in Dubai. I want to know if I need to wait until after I finish my testing for licensing to apply. I have experience as a teaching assistant, and I worked as an English tutor for 2 and a half years in undergraduate. I am preparing to take the second part of my licensing test in January, so I want to be sure.

    Hi Jaleceia, unfortunately at this time, our positions in Dubai require a minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience after certification. If you are close to obtaining your teaching license, I highly recommend you apply to our licensed teaching jobs in Qatar as well as to Korea, as these programs do not require post-qualification experience.     Hi Janice,

    I have seen you giving feedback to several people and was hoping you might be willing to review my profile and give me feedback. I have 4 years of lead teacher experience under a transitional license and would be applying to overseas positions while working toward a professional certification (I expect to have this confirmed by late June).

    I have earned tenure and highly effective ratings by the New York State evaluation system and am hoping this may be considered in place of "post-qualification experience." Thank you for any advice or information.

    Hi Hannah, it looks like you've been applying to jobs that fit your experience, and you have a good number of years of experience as well. Please make sure your Education portion is filled, in case you are missing a BEd or other degree related to education. If you're a candidate of interest, you will hear back from a placement coordinator within the next two weeks.
