Closed Application, Incorrect Profile

I recently applied to attend the San Fran interviews. I noticed that my profile on the right says 0 years of principal experience. I would like to apply for Special Education teacher positions, should any open for the upcoming school year. I have taught full time since 2007 as a fully licensed Special Education teacher. I'm not sure why my profile says "principal" or why my application to attend the San Fran interviews was closed.

    Hi Chasity, sorry about that! This issue has been fixed for you from our end now. Our placement coordinators were able to view your entire profile from our side, so they should have been able to screen you properly for the San Fran interviews.

    One day, maybe six weeks ago now, one of my Teach Away pages was acting up, and at the bottom it seemed as if it appeared that I was seeing part of my profile not inteneded for me. It said, 'Teaching Couple-No', and unfortunately I am part of a teaching couple, although I was told Teach Away, unlike other similar sites, affords no mechanism to indicate this vital detail to employers, and it also said 'Experience- less than one year', which is NOT accurate. I didn't follow up. I've since submitted a number of applications without a single reply. I don't know what it is I saw, but I do know that if a busy employer glanced at a summary and saw that the applicant had less than one year's experience, that it would be reason enough to move on. Maybe all is in order, but clearly simple errors like this could really doom the chances of an applicant.

    Welcome to the forum! Are you having issues with your profile? and do keep in mind that you can check the status of your application from your dashboard

    We also thank you for your feedback and reassure you that our placement coordinators with care and dedication review each application and any issues that might be occurring with regards to our teachers' profiles are attended to and corrected immediately and will not affect the status of the applications
