Since I am a recent graduate I do not have experience teaching besides my year of student teaching, do I still have a chance of getting a job abroad? Thank you for any help or guidance
Hi Alexis,
Great question!
You definitely still have a chance of finding a teaching job overseas. I'm assuming you have a teaching license in the US in addition to your Masters in Ed?
What jobs you will qualify for totally depend on the requirements for each individual position. I recommend visiting the job board and looking what kinds of jobs are available in different countries. This will give you an idea of the job landscape and help you gain an understanding of what opportunities you might be most interested in and qualify for.
After this, you should make sure your teacher profile is complete and up to date, then start to apply for jobs.
If you have questions along the way, especially about specific positions, you can always get back to me here or send an email to info@teachaway.com. Once you're into the application process for a specific job, however, you'll be assigned a placement coordinator from Teach Away, who will be able to assist you with specifics.
All the best in your job search, Brett
