I'm student teaching in USA right now. I graduate in December. Could I find a teaching position that starts early 2018?

I'm an American citizen and will graduate from Missouri State University in December with a BSEd in secondary mathematics education. I would like to teach 9-12 grade math in Australia. However, since I don't have my degree yet, I was wondering if I would still be able to be considered for a teaching position that starts in January, since that is when the first term starts in Australia.

    Welcome to the forum!

    In terms of UAE-specific positions, the general requirements across the board include (this might change over time):

    1. A Bachelor's degree, at minimum
    2. A current teaching license from your local government, or A TESL/TEFL certification, relevant to whatever subject you wish to teach (for example, if you wanted to teach math, you will need a teaching license in math; a TESL or TEFL is not a teaching license)
    3. Two years of relevant teaching experience at the required teaching level (for example, if you were applying to teach high school level English, then you would need to have had at least two years of teaching high school English; elementary or middle school level would not be accepted)

    I would recommend you to keep an open mind and have a look at some other locations that might be better suitable to your qualifications and experience!
