Recent teaching graduate from New Zealand.

Hi all :)

 

I have just graduated from a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) and have finished 2 Terms teaching experience with a New Entrants class on a fixed-term contract. Apart from my placements during my degree, this is the only experience I have. Are there countires that would consider new graduates for Primary Teaching positions? I also have 1.5 years experience as an outdoor instructor before my studies, working in Hong Kong and Australia.

 

It is quite difficult to get teaching jobs here in NZ at the moment and I have been wanting to travel again for a long time :)

    Hi Alana, unfortunately we don't have many positions for newly certified teachers at this time. You could look into some ESL teaching positions in Asia, as these require less experience. Also, make sure you check the job board regularly as there could be new positions for new grads.
