What are people planning to do with their cars while overseas and cost of bringing pets?

Husband and I are wondering what people are planning to do or have done with their cars while overseas. We both have vehicles which we are currently financing. What options do we have? Also does anyone know the costs of bringing dogs to UAE? Or can point us in the direction for resources?

    Great questions, Misty. Many of our teachers sell their cars or ship their cars to their destination country. However, shipping it is quite expensive. Depending on your contract length, perhaps you could pass your car to a family member or friend either for their use or storage?     I have a very small dog, barely 2 pounds. I am very afraid to fly with her as cargo because of all the stories I have heard about the cabin pressure causing the dogs to panic and possibly die of heart issues if they are not soothed. Is it possible for my dog to be put to sleep for the entire journey or would she have to be awake? If a job is offered in the UAE, I will be traveling from North Carolina which is a very long ride.

    Hi Vernice, unfortunately, I don't know much about this specifically. I'd recommend doing some research online or bringing your pet to a vet to see what your options are for your pet as it could vary and you would probably want to see if your pet has any health conditions that would affect her on a long haul flight.
