When should I apply???

I have been teaching for 16 years in Special Education.  I recently recieved my Masters in Special Education however, my teaching license has yet to be updated to reflect that.  Should I wait till my license is updated wth my Masters degree before I apply for jobs?

    Hi Anika, are you planning to apply for 2016 - 2017 teaching positions? These jobs will go up around October - November, so you have some time before that. Do you have a rough estimate of when your license will be updated?

    Hi Janice, Yes I looking to apply for 2016-17 teaching positions. I am scheduled to take my test on October 6, I'm hoping by December the license will be updated. I don't know why it takes so long.

    Hi Anika, if your credentials are going to come in by then, we encourage to fill out your user profile with the relative degrees and certifications that you currently have. You can also update these once you receive your updated license. Moreover, when you chat with a placement coordinator for your initial interviews and pre-screen, you can let them know about December.     Hi Janice....Thanks that does help. I do have my bachelors degree and I am certified to teach, and have been doing so for 16 years.

    Hey Janice,

    I have another question. I am in the process of uploading my documents to my profile. I have an official copy of my transcript but when I scanned it so that I could upload it, it said "VOID" on it. Is it acceptable to still add it or should I attempt to get an unofficial copy?

    Hi Anika, that is fine, so long as you have an official, physical copy when you're gathering your documents for your visa. Hope that helps!
