Why did my application disappear?

I've just checked my dashboard re the status of two applications, and found out they weren't there anymore. Deleted. No "closed" status or anything. I searched for those two vacancies to whom I addressed those applications to, and found out they're not in the list of openings anymore. What happened? Employer backed-out? Hiring cancelled?

    Hi Maria;

    Welcome to the forum! Please try to 'view all' and you should be able to see your application status.

    Ah! "View all" didn't show it. I went to "Job Applications" icon on the left. It says "closed job", which probli explains why "closed" didn't appear in the dashboard.
    Anyways, another employer was kind enough to send me an email telling me today that he regrets not taking my application to the next step. My dashboard still has the "submitted" status, but it's cool.
