I am trying to get a job in the UAE. I have 12 years of experience but I was told that only 3 years will be counted because that is when my credential was cleared. Shouldn't the years that I had a preliminary credential count too? Here in the U.S., teachers can teach full-time with a preliminary credential all they have to do is two years of BTSA to clear it. I thought that at least 5 years would be counted because I had a credential. Can anyone clarify or explain this to me.
