Has anyone worked in Oman?

Hi Teach Away Community,

 

My name is Robert, and I'm new to TESOL/TEFL/ESL. I have taught community college history and humanities courses for nearly 15 years. I would like to teach post-secondary students. I have a lead for a position in Oman. Has anyone taught there, lived there, traveled there, or know anyone who has?

    Welcome to the forum! we currently do not have any positions available for Oman. Keep an eye on the job board and sign up for the newsletter if you already are not, so that you are appraised of all our recent postings.

    Welcome to the forum! My advice is to make sure you are signed up to receive emails and check the website once a week to make sure you are up-to-date with the positions added in Oman

    Trying so hard to get a job offer in U A E ,failing miserably.Any help will be appreciated.

I hear the frustration in your message and do not be discouraged, UAE is one of the most popular destinations for teachers to seek employment in, what you can do to be more successful in your applications is 1. make sure that you do meet the minimum requirements to apply to the position 2. add internationally recognized qualifications to your portfolio to stand out in your application and 3. keep an open mind! We hope you are successful in your future applications and explore other locations that interest you as well and apply to them
