Can I apply now?

  Hi, I am holding a Bachelor degree in Science from UK university. I have also got AET ( Award in teaching and training) and CET (Certificate in education and training) certificates. Now I am completing DET ( Diploma in education and training) from Solihull University campus UK. I have 10 years of teaching experience in different schools in Birmingham. After doing my DET, I can apply for QTLS. Is QTLS will be considered as a teaching licence?  And can I apply now for Sep 2016?

    Hi Adeesa, the QTLS is a varied teaching license, so it's going to be a bit tougher to find a job internationally. Your experience prior to getting your licenses is great and will boost your job application, however it won't count towards the salary and you will be considered a first year post certified teacher. If you obtain QLTS license prior to Sep 2016, you are welcome to apply. Please make sure you add that license to your teacher profile, along with the expected date associated with it.
