    I am trying to get a job as an English teacher in UAE as well, unfortunately unsuccessfully. I have been applying for 2 weeks only, but I wonder if my profile is attractive enough for possible employers.

    Hi all;
    In terms of UAE-specific positions, the general requirements across the board include:
    1. A Bachelor's degree, at minimum
    2. A current teaching license from your local government, relevant to whatever subject you wish to teach (for example, if you wanted to teach math, you will need a teaching license in math; a TESL or TEFL is not a teaching license)
    3. Two years of relevant teaching experience at the required teaching level (for example, if you were applying to teach high school level English, then you would need to have had at least two years of teaching high school English; elementary or middle school level would not be accepted)
    4. A TESL/TEFL certification is not required for all positions, but it would certainly make you a more competitive candidate

    Do keep in mind that positions in UAE are very competitive so do make sure that you meet all the minimum requirements before applying.

    Hi all ,

    I have an interview 28th May with MOE UAE reps and would like to know if accepted when would the starting date begin ?
    Also the cost of accomodation varies according to location but in short on a 20-21EAD per month can I save half my salary ? Does anyone know teachers already working in the UAE on the same program ? Any info appreciated
