I've asked this question on Expats.com but no one's answered me thus far.
Do they offer any training once you arrive in the UAE? I know they did when I went to South Korea so you got to know how it worked and meet other new teachers or current expats. It was also straightforward since I was just teaching English, using the provided textbooks and supplementing lessons with materials I created over time.
I ask because while I'm familiar with the Ontario Curriculum (where I am a certified teacher), I don't know what type of curriculum is offering the UAE and how it's all laid out. I also know how important prep is so I'm wondering if new teachers also get time to get their classrooms ready before they go in.
Since I'm an Elementary teacher, I would expect to be teaching multiple subjects and not just one.
Can anyone offer any insight?
