Working in UAE August 2017

Hi, i have been given the contract to work in the uae starting august 2017. Is anybody else in the same boat. I need to link with others to become more confident in taking the final steps.

I got accepted by the ministry of education and am reluctant on the not knowing where i am going to be situated, accomadation etc.

Help.

    Hi Ibrahim,

    Yes I am in the same position, just in the process of sending all the documents. Latest problem is I don't have a breakdown of grades for my degree but hopefully will get there eventually!

    ADEC does not need a breakdown of the degree. I am from South Africa and will teach Biology for cycle 3

    UAE Government Schools Ministry do though! Requested it still not arrived yet though.

    Hi guys!
    I've been wondering whether you can give me some tips.

    I have Master in English, Teaching diploma and Piano/Music diploma. I would like to find a job either in Education or Entertainment-more as a lobby pianist etc.

    Do you have any idea where I should apply to? Maybe some of you were in similar situation?

    I am certified in middle grades math, been teaching 10 years and went to the San Francisco job fair a couple of months ago; I received a job offer only to send in all my information to hear from the Ministry of Education that I don't meet the qualifications. I'm an excellent math teacher and was all set to teach abroad only to receive this information this morning. It's disheartening.

    Hi Tina,

    That is a bit puzzling. I have received an offer, although my test was all A-level maths and I did not do very well in it. It makes me wonder whether they are shifting to employ more A-level Maths teachers. Which I am not by the way but I have taught a few years at HND Level Maths modules. Hmm don't know.

    Well, I have a Bachelor's in Sociology and a Master's in Counseling/Psychology and I'm thinking that's why it wasn't approved by the Ministry. I specifically asked the Head of School would my degree be an issue and he stated it would not so I'm very confused at this point. I've prepared myself and family to be overseas in August 2017.
