My fiancee and I are very interested in teaching ESL in the Czech Republic. Ideally, we'd like to start this September. I have TEFL certification and a masters degree in TESOL, and also taught one year in South Korea. She also taught in Korea, although it was under the table. She doesn't have TEFL certification, but she just got her bachelors degree. Obviously we'd like to go together and are trying to research the best paths for us to do that.
One thought I had was for her to get her TEFL certification, then fly to Czech in August and try to apply to jobs in person. It is always a bit nerve wracking going in without a job lined up. Would this be the best route, or does anyone recommend something else?
