Being a licensed teacher from India

Hi ,
I have been teaching on and off for quite some time in Nigeria and India (my Husband's postings kept on changing). I recently completed and obtained a Diploma - Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning with distinction - this diploma is issued by The University of Cambridge, and also includes a Certificate (for module 1).

Would this count towards a teaching license?

I also have a BA (Honours) Eng Lit and a MA in Eng Lit from Delhi University, India.

In India we do not have a state licensing authority. Schools usually ask for a BEd if it is following the state/local curriculum. International Schools are open to either a BEd or a Certificate/Diploma (in addition to a Graduate Degree) e.g. Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching & Learning.

    HELLO MAM

    If we have a b.Ed degree can we be count as licensed teachers?, but on the other side, B.Ed doesn't depict the subject and the grades to be taught so can we fill up reg form for teachaway.

    Hi Ajaz,

    You'll have to look to into the procedure for acquiring a teaching license in your place of residence. Becoming a license teacher is a different process depending your home country and sometimes your state/province as well. Teach Away does not currently offer a teacher certification program.

    We do however offer a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) through our partnership with the Faculty of Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.     Hii mam I am from India Can we consider BEd as a teaching license or else we need to do any seperate course / or qualify any exam

    HEY MAM I AM FROM INDIA COMPLETED MY MASTERS IN PSYCHOLOGY AND WORKED IN VARIES PROFILE OF JOBS I WAS ADMIN IN MARKETING DEPARTMENT THEN WORKED FOR TEACH FOR INDIA FOR 6 MONTH NOW WORKING AS COORDINATOR SINCE 10 MONTHS I WANT TO TRAVEL ABROAD AND TEACH STUDENTS AND CHILDREN SO KINDly SUGGEST ME IF TEFL CERTIFICATE IS ENOUGH FOR AN INDIAN

    Hi !
    I am an Indian with an M.A., M.Phil., M.A. Linguistics, CELTA, DELTA (Module 1 & 2) yet not eligible to work in the country I live in as the priority is for the ones with a teachers' license. As mentioned in the previous messages, we don't have such certificate in India except a B.Ed. I live in Bahrain at the moment I need a license to get a job; moreover, I am not eligible to apply for the course that is offered via Teachaway being an Indian. Any other way to get this license?
