What does a "closed" status mean?

Hi,

I recently applied for a August 2016 English position and my status now says "closed" .  Does that typically mean I didn't meet the qualifications needed for the job?

    Hi Anika, it doesn't necessarily mean that you don't meet the qualifications, but it means that the position has been filled or removed. We encourage you to keep trying because sometimes, it can be a factor of timing. Also please ensure your Teach Away profile is complete.

    Hello Janice,

    My application is 94% completed. I've been applying for positions posted and my application status is now "application closed". Does that mean I'm I have moved further in the application process?

    Hi Janice.....My profile is 100% completed. I also noticed that the position I applied for is still posted but I will continue to be hopeful and continue to apply for positions.

    Hi Anika,
    Can you please let me know what the full explanation was as I'm having the same situation. Nobody is coming back to me regarding the "closed status" of my applications.

    Hi Christo,

    The reason for me was my teaching certification is in Special Education. I need a general license in order to be considered.

    Hi Janice,
    Can you please let me know what the full explanation regarding the "closed status" on my applications? My profile is 100% completed.
    The position I applied for is still posted and showing 10 Vacancies. Is there something else that is needed on my application?
