Is closed means my application has been rejected and submitted means they are still under consideration?

Hi, I am certified teacher with experience and uploaded nearly all my documents. Now I see two of my applications are closed and some are still showing submitted..Submitted means they still in consideration? I don't know what is wrong with my application! I really want to teach in Middle East.

    My job application status has been closed. What does it mean?

    Our databases show that your application status is "closed" -- this indicates that your application was reviewed and did not meet the requirements of the job posting, or that the position had already been filled by another candidate. We encourage you to continue applying.
