Dear all,
I hope everyone is doing fine.
I am Ahmed, 29 years old, from Algeria. xD
I wanted to ask if I do need a certificate to teach computer science (in schools not universities) if I have a PhD in the field (fresh graduate)? Also, is it possible for a non-native to teach English if they are fluent?
Moreover, where is a good place to find credible people for serious job searching?

    Hi Ahmed
    Lovely to hear from someone in Algeria. Usually you do not need a specialised degree in the subject that you are teaching especially in school level. You can teach them ESP (English for Specific Purposes) using certain jargon phrases and also business English. It is completely possible to teach English if non-native. A good place for job searching is this website but also Daves ESL cafe and tefl.com
    I am a native based in the UK but actually I have always been curious about teaching in North Africa - i worked in Morrocco and Egypt but I would love to work in Algeria. Are there many international teachers in Algeria and which schools do they work at? Thank you
