Non Native English Teacher in Japan?

Dear all,

I am Vietnamese. I hold a Bachelor Degree in English Linguistics and Teaching certified by Vietnam National University and a Master Degree in Applied Linguistics certified by Curtin University, Australia.
I have 5-year experience in teaching English for various kinds of learners, from kids to working adults.
I am planning to move to Japan to live.
Please help suggest me if there is any chance for a non-native teacher with above certificates and experience like me to teach English in Japan?

    I am also non-native and also trying to pursue English instructor position in Japan. From my researching the position, most of the eikaiwa requires you to have at least 12 years of education in English speaking environment. (some specifically requires you to have grade 1 - grade 12 done in English speaking environment)... Thankfully I just have enough years (12 years)... I am not sure if that's only for the ones that I researched or it is general requirement for the VISA sponsorship...

    I am Indian and trying to pursue English Lecturer/Professor position in Japan. I did Masters and TESOL, having 14 years of teaching experience in India and gulf region. Are there any website to apply for the positions. How to work in Japan?

    Hi Huong,

    I am curious how it goes with your plan teaching in Japan now? I really want to teach in Japan and have somewhat similar situation as you were, so I’d like to know if you’re able to teach in Japan?
