My application status for numerous positions remains on "submitted" three weeks after applying - When can I expect contact?

Hi there,

I applied for numerous teaching positions in the UAE on 1 June, but three weeks later all application statuses still reflect "submitted". I have emailed Teach Away to request an update but unfortunately have not received a response.

The applications were for various English teaching positions with Teach Away partners: UAE Government Schools, Emirates National Schools, Abu Dhabi Public Schools and ADVETI.

When can I expect contact from Teach Away?

I would very much appreciate an update.

    HI Kamilah,

    The likely reason your application statuses for these positions have not changed is because there are no interview sessions currently scheduled for your location. If this is the case, closing your applications would eliminate your chances of being hired in the event interview sessions are scheduled near you. Where are you located?

    It is abnormal to not receive a response when emailing Teach Away. Which email address did you send your inquiries to?

    Appreciate the swift response very much.

    I have since received a response to my queries via email so thank you for this.

    I am currently based in Abu Dhabi after having just relocated here. Would I be able to get some insight into when interviews will be happening in the city, or shall I hold out a bit longer for my application to be reviewed?

    Kamilah,

    I don't currently have any info to provide on coming dates. These are decided by the schools. Teach Away will update our teachers with interview session information as soon as we have it ourselves.

    please can you help me and tell me how can be the exam (the kind of questions) and about the oral test is it difficult!

    Hello, I have just yesterday applied for a range of jobs through Teach Away starting in August 2018. I am currently living in the UAE. Can you tell me any information about when I will be contacted and when interviews will be happening? Jobs are through ADEK and ADVETI. Many thanks - Joanne

    Hello Kamilah,

    No, I have had no contact yet. I also emailed Teachaway directly and they also have not responded. I imagine this is a very busy time of year for them, hopefully they make contact soon!
