I'm just getting started in looking at options abroad (I'm in Indiana) and I was wondering if Singapore ever has any summer opportunities? I'd love to commit for a 2-year cycle, but I'm a bit nervous and would like to "test the waters" with a 4-, 6-, or 8-week assignment.
Also, any information from teachers who have actually taught there would be greatly appreciated. What is the housing like? If a "subsidy" and/or a "monthly housing allowance" are available, how does that typically work? I have a wife and a 12-year-old daughter; would bringing my family be encouraged or discouraged?
