Seeking Job with Colleagues who Value QUALITY EDUCATION!

((I AM SENDING THIS OUT INTO THE WORLD HOPING TO FIND LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE))

Hello Potential Future Colleagues,

I am seeking a job overseas (Asia) in education.

Please be advised from the onset that I am a “learning specialist,” therefore, I am not applying now to any postings that reflect a job description linked solely to teaching English!

You most likely had a posting somewhere that interested me as it mentions that a BA or MA in education would be sufficient for a leadership role in education. Note that my own BA is with a major in psychology and a minor in philosophy. However, I have acquired other teaching certificates over time such as for being a classroom driver training instructor (top of my class when I took that course), a life skills trainer and role-model (my own instructor chose me to replace her when she was away and my peers from this program chose me as the master of ceremonies for our graduation) as well as a badminton coach (I won awards for coaching youth).

I am sending you only four attachments at this time.

One of the attachments is my MA thesis draft from a previous program I decided to withdraw from. Instead, I will be entering a distance program for an MA in Educational Leadership from the same university. Please note from a picture attached as well that I am presently tutoring students from this institution on a casual basis. However, these students must first qualify for the Disability Services at the university before they are referred to me.

I would end this university's working obligations when leaving and work only on my new MA – but on a part-time basis – while being in your own country. This would be my only responsibility and/or obligation still linked to my country of origin.

I am looking for a long-term commitment from an institution that needs to demonstrate to me the same passion for quality education that I demonstrate myself on a daily basis.

I am prepared to stay in your country for many years - perhaps even indefinitely - but I would also quickly leave this posting if I felt that my colleagues were not as committed to being as efficient as I will be in advocating for quality education for the students.

I am very serious about the next stage of my life being linked to a career in education where I can make a real difference for future generations.

I will take the salary you can offer me but I do not want to be "sold" on any jobs by feeling that my ethics can be bought-off with enough offerings of income. I care way too much about what I do...and advocating for children is a life's purpose that I will not compromise on. This is who I am.

I have been watching the standards of education consistently drop in my own country for more than a decade now. Noticing this sad truth every day while here is breaking my heart. I want to spend the next chapter of my life in a country where their culture's standards for education are on the rise, and not on the decline, such as is the case here in Canada. I would be quickly able to notice these evolving trends, so please do not contact me unless you honestly, and honourably, wanted to put-in the same conviction of the heart in your efforts that I would be, myself, offering in return.

NOTE THAT I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT BOTH MONETARY GREED AS WELL AS A PASSION FOR QUALITY EDUCATION CAN CO-EXIST IN ANY FUNCTIONAL WAY WITHIN SOMEONE'S WORLDVIEW!

Please let me know if you would be able to appreciate someone like me but please also be mindful that I consider this clearly stated manifesto as the first part of any contract I would enter with any organization...and finally, please, PLEASE, do not bother contacting me unless you are certain of your own convictions regarding these expressed values.

Cordially yours from Canada,

Martin Pariseau, Hu.D.
