What does closed mean for my application?

Good Morning,

 

I have applied for the Social Studies position as well as the Counseling position. I have taught Social Studies for 6 years and have completed my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have also completed 3 years of counseling hours at a facility. Can you provide me with some insight as to what went wrong with my application? Thank you in advance!

    Hi Naomi, sorry I thought I had replied to your question! I can't see the particular reason why your applications are closed, but my guess for the social studies position is that it isn't your most recent experience.

    For the counselling position you have applied for, 3 years of post-qualification experience is required. (Sorry this wasn't clear on the posting.) Unfortunately, most of our counselling positions do require a few years of post-qualification experience at this time, but please keep an eye out on our job board. We previously had some curriculum specialist positions which might be of interest to you too, and maybe those will pop up again.

    Hi Janice
    I also have applied for many positions and all have closed status. Please explain what are the reasons an application would receive such a status. I am very keen on teaching in UAE however it seems like I'm waisting my time in applying as all my applications are closed.

    Hi Woodroffe:

    If your application status is "closed" -- this indicates that your application was reviewed and did not meet the requirements of the job posting, or that the position had already been filled by another candidate. I encourage you to keep an open mind, have a look at our job board and apply to the jobs that interest you.

    I also have closed on my application, that wasn't there a few days ago. The other applications are still saying submitted. So am I to assume that closed means you're no longer accepting applications for that position? That's odd because the position is still posted. I really don't think it could be my qualifications either because I've got 11 years experience and a curriculum masters. Could you please clarify?

    If your application status is "closed" -- this indicates that your application was reviewed and did not meet the requirements of the job posting, or that the position had already been filled by another candidate. We encourage you to continue applying.

    I hold a university degree in physics, masters degree in physics, a phD in physics and teaching qualification with 18years experience as a teacher I applied for five post. But two already closed. Is there any other criteria that is required which I don't have? or is it that phD candidates are not needed?

    Good day
    Please look at my application. I applied for 4 biology posts. I am a secondary school teacher. Only one is under review.
    What if I do not get a placement because my other applications is closed?

    Great news on having an interview confirmed! I recommend you to focus on the success of the interview you have ahead of you and communicate with your placement coordinator if you have any questions or concerns. If you are unsuccessful, the door is still open to apply to more positions and I wish you the best of luck

    How would you know if your application is being processed or met the standard qualification that the company is looking for? What status would it show?

    Hello Jhayselda:

    If your application is successful, for all non-direct to school positions, one of our placement coordinators will get in touch with you to set up an initial interview. For direct to school positions, the school themselves will contact you if you are considered to move forward. If you are contacted, this means that you have met the minimum requirements and beat the competition with your application. If you are curious to know if you did qualify, your best resource is the position you applied to, make sure that you read and understand the minimum requirements carefully, and if you do, I encourage you to apply to them.

    Those who are not successful in their applications, due to the volume of applications we receive, will not be contacted. For this you will see the status of your application from your dashboard for all non-direct to school positions, change to closed.
