Current Principal in one of the references?

Unfortunately my issue at the moment is the chicken and the egg mentality of the workplace. Everyone needs experience in order to work, but to gain experience, one must get the work. This leads to years of static movement on the resume (even though i am doing alot of tutoring, and other activities). Hence why i was asking during the webinar in regards to a current reference being from a current principal, as i do not have one at the moment. Everyday, I am applying to various jobs, and unfortunately, for most of them, I do not recieve the call for an interview. I am remaining optimistic and positive, as this line of work, is truly my passion, I love teaching and everything that encompasses it. But, I am finding it more and more difficult now in order to secure a workplace birth, when my last full time teaching stint was 3 years ago, and if I continue to recieve no opportunities, I fear it may go on for longer, until no one will give my resume a second look. Again, as I said, this is the chicken and the egg mentality, I need the work in order to get the experience needed in order to get the work. Any helpful advice in this regard would be truly appreciated!
