I am recently certified with CertTESOL program in NZ but I am from a non native english country. What are the opportunities to apply for?

    me too, have a CELTA but come from an English speaking African country that isn't recognised in the category of native speakers. am stranded

    I am about to carry my tefl course from this november and belong from India.So,can I achieve my career after this course?

    Hi everyone,

    Unfortunately visa restrictions typically prevent non-native English speakers from qualifying for positions listed on the Teach Away job board. There are almost never opportunities for non-native English speakers to land ESL instructor positions, but there may be the odd opportunity to apply for licensed teacher positions as non-native English speaker.

    I recommend keeping your eyes on the job board for these types of roles if you do have a teaching license.

    Hi! I am also a non-native English speaker with TEFL certification, and I discovered that many programs emphasize native speakers owing to visa or recruitment requirements. However, there are still opportunities at foreign schools and smaller language centres. Meanwhile, I've been promoting my teaching credentials using resources like bespoke business cards New Zealand with "https://www.logodesignnz.co.nz/business-card-design" to network locally and stand out to prospective employers.
