Do I need a TEFL qualification?

Good day everyone.

I am a qualified teacher in South Africa with three years teaching experience.  Is it neccesary for me to have a TEFL qualification to teach abroad? I would appreciate any help I can get in making my application process easier.

    Hi Henrich;

    Welcome to the forum! Some schools do require you to have a TEFL certificate. A TEFL certificate is the qualification required to teach English as a foreign language. If you are looking to travel and teach in a country where English is not the local language-or if you live in one already and would like to improve your employment prospects.

    I would recommend you to have a look at our job board, do some research and get certified if the school requires you to do so .
