My certificates are written in German. Do I need to translate them into English?

Hi,

I have a Master's Degree in English and History and a teaching certificate for these two subjects. I graduated at the University of Freiburg in Switzerland and therefore my certificates are in German. Do I need to translate them into English?
And how are my chances to get a job abroad? I am bilingual in German and English and have 4 years of teaching experience.

    Hi Aline,
    Have you contacted your university? In my case they were able to write me an English version of my certificate with stamps etc. ( Helsinki, Finland). Saved me a lot of money! :-) worth asking...

    Hey Aline,

    Great question. Your certificates are okay in German. if you apply for a position and a placement coordinator or hiring manager requires an English version, you can worry about that then.

    There are definitely positions you can qualify for as long as you are very strong in English!
