To get a job in U.A.E.

Hello, my name is Kamilla. I work as a teacher assistant in the international school in Azerbaijan. I just wanted to know is it possible for me to get a job abroad, because I have a bachelor degree and lots of certificates. And also I have an apportunity to teach, because here in our school assistant is also teaching. I was working with the young students for 7 years, and then moved to the Learning Support department where I work with the older students also. I work with small group of students, or  a single student, or support in class. Our school is based on IB programme. Looking forward to hearing from you)))))))))))

    Hi Kamilla;

    Welcome to the forum!
    In terms of UAE-specific positions, the general requirements across the board include:
    1. A Bachelor's degree, at minimum
    2. A current teaching license from your local government, relevant to whatever subject you wish to teach (for example, if you wanted to teach math, you will need a teaching license in math; a TESL or TEFL is not a teaching license)
    3. Two years of relevant teaching experience at the required teaching level (for example, if you were applying to teach high school level English, then you would need to have had at least two years of teaching high school English; elementary or middle school level would not be accepted)
    4. A TESL/TEFL certification is not required for all positions, but it would certainly make you a more competitive candidate

    Hi everyone
    My name is Oluyemisi, I am a Nigerian. I have relevant qualifications in teaching English with 12 years experience but I do not have TESL OR TEFL and I am interested in teaching in the UAE. Do I need an agent to help me secure a job or what? Thanks.
